I love looking at company booklets because they are attractive, informative and at the same time stylish. No wonder new and old companies alike would invest their money in coming up with a brilliant and innovative design for booklet printing. It allows them to continue attracting the old customers and gain the nod of new potential clients. This is equally important for the company because both old and new customers are the lifeblood of the business. Customers need to be updated and well informed so that they will have a full knowledge of the products.
In planning for the marketing material, it would be an advantage if you know the basics. These basics will be your guide from the initial brainstorming of designs and layouts throughout the process of printing and distribution.
1. Know your target market: Your design will revolve around the idea of pleasing your target market. It is assumed of course that you already have enough product knowledge so that you can fully maximize the market coverage of that product. If you are targeting parents for your toy products; make sure that you design your material not just to suit the parents who will be buying your product. At the same time make it lively and colorful for the children who will be the decision maker whether or not the toys would be something they want their parents to buy for them. You must know where to strike the balance. If your wish to sell products to athletes; make sure that your design will be appropriate for them.
2. Product classification: In coming up with a good material, the flow is also important. Make sure that the products are classified properly to avoid confusion. The biggest mistake a company can do is coming up with a material for promoting the product that creates confusion at the end of the client or target customer. Make it a point that you classify the products according to your target market or kind of promotion. You may classify it through the gender of your potential clients, through sales and bargains or customer age bracket.
3. Clear images: Upon looking at the product, a customer can decide whether or not he would like to get the product. Sometimes, we are also lured into buying a product because it looks good in the photo when in fact, it looks ordinary in reality. Companies would invest on that too because they know that anything that looks attractive for their customers can be a good source of money. In printing your products, a good quality image is a must. Your product photo must have the same color as the real product to ensure credibility. What frustrates customer is when they get a product because they have seen the photo only to find out that it looks entirely different in reality. This destroys a companys credibility and image and could therefore result to loss of customer loyalty and potential sales.
4. Layout your material: If you think you have what it takes to whip up a very appealing design for your material, by all means, go ahead. This will save your company money and time. There are companies however who would opt to hire the service of a graphic artist because they are ensured of a professional output. This may cost higher for the company but they will not mind because they know that layout design is one way of attracting their customers to buy the product that they are advertising.
5. Choose the right printer: You may use your own resources if you think you can do it but if you want to hire the services of a printing company, it would not matter because this is your companys advertising material that we are talking about. Any company, for that matter would exhaust all efforts to come up with a winning material for marketing the product.
Booklet printing does not need to become a difficult challenge to undertake for a company. You can always come up with unique and customized design if you know the basics of making these booklets.
